"Espresso" - Sabrina Carpenter

Sometimes, love isn’t what people are looking for when going out with people. In Sabrina Carpenter’s new song “Espresso”, she makes it clear that she is not chasing love.

The song starts off with the chorus that spells out the meaning of the song. As the main character, Sabrina uses men and leaves them when she is sick of them. She works to be always on the man’s mind, especially in the bedroom. That’s how she is able to compare herself to espresso by saying she keeps him up. This is not a long-term relationship for Sabrina.

In the first verse, Sabrina explains that she is not desperate for love, and she can have a man be so obsessed with her to the point of them constantly calling. She doesn’t want to put that energy in, but she likes the attention anyway.

In the prechorus, Sabrina hypes herself up by talking about how much better she is than the man’s ex. She says she is his dream girl and entices him by explaining that she takes care of her skin just for him.

In the second verse, Sabrina likes it when a man is wrapped around her finger. Her humor is a big reason for that as it makes him laugh. She likes making men feel a certain way, and that isn’t love.

Sabrina Carpenter's song has gained popularity with its 70-80s sound and its lyrics that are not correctly spelled. It’s a fun song to dance to and to get people hyped up.
